Please note that the goggle lenses are of step diopter construction. This means that they will not exactly match your prescription and are not meant for prolonged use. Aquagoggles are recommend for recreational swimming and should not be used for diving or other high-impact water sports. Careless or inappropriate use can cause injury.
Fitting the goggles is done by choosing and installing the nose bridge best suited to you and adjusting head strap tension. This is why we ship without strap or nose bridges installed, the strap clips on in seconds and it allows us to ship the lens eyecups in protective packaging Diagram 1.
There are two types of nose bridges; the one covered with a silicone tube which is adjustable and the solid nose bridge assembly that comes in three sizes. The solid nose bridge consists of a flexible centerpiece and small clips which go through them and clip into the eye cups. The nose bridges are difficult to remove once installed so it’s best spend a little extra care and get it right the first time.
First let’s see if the solid nose bridges will work for you. Stand in front of a mirror with the goggles (without nose bridge installed) held to your eyes in the most comfortable position. You can see the flanges molded into each eyecup next to your nose. The nose bridges clip into the slots formed in the end. Select the bridge that seems best.
Put the two small clips into the flexible centerpiece by inserting the prongs into the two holes (rounded parts should point towards the center) then insert the two prongs into the slot in the lens cup and press BEFORE inserting other clip, make sure the goggle strap is not twisted. Try on goggles and adjust strap * not too tight, for comfort and seal. If you do not have a comfortable fit AND a good seal you may have to try a different nose bridge.
Firmly grip the outside of an eyecup piece in one hand. You will see where the prongs of the bridge protrude. Using the handle end of a teaspoon, press down firmly on one or both prongs to force them out. The bridge will then release. Repeat this for the clip on other eyecup.
If you look at this nose bridge you’ll see the locking strap has protrusions (and notches) on one side that are used to lock the bridge into the eyecups. Bend the flexible strap in half, the protrusions should be on the OUTSIDE and this is the way it is installed on the eyecups. Push one end into an eyecup so that just one notch (protrusion) is engaged and then do the same with the other end. Now try on goggles and check for fit. If loose then adjust bridge notches from first one end and then the other, continuing to check fit until you are satisfied. Once properly fit, if the nose bridge strap protrudes through the lens cup more than one protrusion use scissors to trim off the ends. CAREFUL, at least one protrusion must be through the slot to hold securely.
The only time you might want to do this is if you want to install new eyecup seals (available from us) or replace a damaged eyecup lens (also available from us). The lens cups have a slot for the strap clip to snap into. To remove the strap push down on the end of the semicircular locking clip (the end closest to strap) and pull out . Using the handle end of a teaspoon to depress this clip may be of some help.
Removing is easy since the Silicone stretches. Just pull the seal away from the eyecup. Watch how it comes off since you’ll be replacing it in the same position. Two hints for installing a seal. It’s much easier with straps and nose bridge removed. Start with the squared off end of the seal fitted to the flat end of the lens cup then pull forwards and push other end into the top of the lens cup groove, then work the seal around the eyecup into the molded retaining groove. A rolling and pushing action with your thumb will help insure a full seal.
Hints: Sometimes the clips holding the straps do not “snap” in and lock (close tolerances) you may have to hold the clip where the strap is fastened between thumb and forefinger and flex slightly downwards (towards the inside of the eyecup) while sliding into the locking slot. The half-moon shaped locking clip will then snap up into position! Takes a bit of pushing & flexing but eventually it clicks in and is very, very secure. See diagram on back of this sheet!
Seals can sometimes work loose so it’s a good idea to check once in a while to make sure they are “rolled” into the retaining grooves on the lenses.

Diagram 1
Insert the nose bridge piece with the 2 prongs into the corresponding spot on the eyecup. Before clipping into the second eyecup make sure the strap is not twisted.(if you have already attached strap clips).

Diagram 2
When inserting the strap clips, you must exert force in 3 different directions in order to get the correct fit. Pressing down with your thumb as illustrated, push both in and down on the strap clip until it 'clicks' in.
